JeSTeR and Vista Support |

Currently we do not support installation and usage on Windows Vista.
JeSTeR can be made to work on Vista and following are some steps that customers have used to do so. - When running the installer make sure you are logged in as an Administrator. - Ensure that the permissions/rights on the JeSTeR folder (C:\Program Files\Thornberry Consulting LLC\JeSTeR) allow for non-admin users to read/right/execute after installation. - Vista has different restrictions on writing to the Program Files which inhibit the Licensing tool we use. Make sure that you are using the latest version of JeSTeR that can be found in the Download section of the jestertool website. (Make sure you follow the upgrade procedure outlined here in the knowledge base; support.jestertool.com/kb/). |
